Making a website: the basics of WordPress

If you’ve ever Googled how to go about creating a website, WordPress has likely popped up, and for good reason. It currently powers over 17% of the web, including many of the sites you visit each day. It’s powerful, flexible, easy to use and a very handy platform to be familiar with.

In this workshop we’ll learn how to set up and customize a really nice WordPress-based site from scratch, and each person will leave with a copy of a website they can continue to tweak and eventually make public. Even knowing the basics of WordPress and how it all works is an extremely useful (and marketable) skill to have.

Seating at this workshop session will be limited, so please register only if you know you can attend. If you have to cancel, please let us know so that your spot can be given to another person.

Also, please bring your own laptop to the session.
